The HDZ-W12 starts with a solid cast aluminum frame that supports the cone and motor for greater clarity and minimal distortion. The pulp/mica cone combines accuracy and warmth, and the proprietary High-Amplitude Multi-Roll (HAMR) surround and dual progressive spiders deliver the precise low end needed for hi-res sound. A carbon-fiber dust cap protects the 2-1/2″ voice coil, and the included mesh grille and aluminum trim ring complete the package, offering both protection and good looks.
This HDZ-W12 subwoofer is designed to handle a whopping 800 watts of RMS power handling (2400 watts peak) so you’ll get all the bass you’re looking for and more. Its dual 4-ohm voice coils give you plenty of system configuration options, so you can build a Status Series system that’s right for you. Whether as part of a full Status Series system or as an addition to your current system, you’ll get supreme accuracy and full, solid high-fidelity performance.
